Open for business

I attended the Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC sold out State of the Cities this week.

As a small business owner and community member interested in the future of our communities and neighbors, this is an important and rewarding event.

Bismarck Mayor Mike Schmitz touched on the importance of economic development, saying that, "If we don't grow, we go backwards," and that directly impacts the ability to provide services to the community.

This highlights another of my guiding principles: Open for business. Burleigh County will be a place where families, farmers, landowners, and businesses can see a path to succeed. To me, that means regulations are predictable and transparent so people can confidently invest, build, and plan for the long term.
